Putting hand over Heart ...

Bismillaahi Rahmaani Raheem

When the Holy Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) name is mention,  it is the sunnat of the Sahaba-e-Kiram to put their hands over their heart, to stop their heart from jumping out of their chest. It is not just for humility or to say salams, but it is literally to calm their heart because they are having a heart attack.

Why are they having a heart attack?

Because of their love. When the Prophet (asws) name was mentioned their heart starts to jump. That is love. You all know this. If your beloved one is mentioned, your heart is going to jump. If you are made to remember something that happened to you in the past, your blood pressure, everything is going to change. For them, their hearts are filled with the Holy Prophet (asws) that when his name was mentioned, their heart wants to burst. So they put their hands on the chest.

Sayyiduna Ja`far: A Tale of Love and Sacrifice

Bismillaahi Rahmaani Raheem...:)<3

When Sayyiduna Ja`far's right hand was cut off, he seized the standard with his left hand until that too was cut off. He then clasped the standard with both arms until he was mortally wounded. His companions took the standard from him and took him to the side. They found that he had been struck eighty times (by swords, spears and arrows) but all these wounds were on the front part of his body, not on his back or his side. This was because he remained firm and did not for a moment turn his back to the enemy. He was offered water but he refused to drink it, saying that he was fasting.

"You are fasting on an extremely hot day while being in the midst of this battle?" they asked.

"I desire to break my fast in Paradise," Ja`far said.

They took the water away from him and at sunset he duly broke his fast in Paradise, as the Messenger of Allahﷺ testified.

On the same day the Prophet was in al-Madina. He raised his head and said: "Wa alayka al-salam wa rahmatullah wa barakatuh" and he began to speak. A group of his Companions were sitting around him observing what was happening with humility and etiquette.

When he had finished speaking, they asked him:

"Who were you speaking to, O Messenger of Allah?"

"That was Ja`far bin Abi Talib in front of me with a group of angels. Allah replaced his arms with two wings with which he can fly wherever he wishes in Paradise."

He was thus knows as 'al-Tayyar' or 'the Flyer' long before airoplanes were invented. He did not merely fly in the sky but in Paradise. He came from Mu'tah in Jordan to al-Madinah. What need was there for him to come to al-Madinah if he was already one of the people of Paradise? What was the purpose of him coming to al-Madinah? The purpose was to visit one person who was more beloved to him than Paradise. His name is Muhammad, your Prophet ﷺ. Had it not been for this love there would have been no need for him to go to al-Madinah to give greetings to the Messenger of Allah. Even Paradise did not cause him to forget Muhammad because he knew that he was only entering Paradise due to the fact that he was a follower of Muhammad. He knew that the true sign of his faith was for Allah and His Messenger to be more beloved to him than anything else, including Paradise.

Hair of Habeeb sallallaahu alaihi wasallam

The Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) is alive. His holy Hair is alive. when you say shahada in front of the  hair of Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) it reaches the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam). because the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) is fresh and living. One hair of him is enough to intercede for everyone on Day of Judgment.

sweet Rose and Beloved sallallahu alaihi wasallam

Sheikh Sadi tells in a representative style in the following story from his work called Gulistan ("The Land of Rose") how the friends of Allah owe their beauty to the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaihi waaallam) and how all of their spiritual states come from the spirituality of the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam).

"One person goes to the public bath. In the public bath one of his friends gives him a nice smelling clay (cleaning soil) so that he can clean himself. A wonderful scent emanates from the clay that caresses the spirit. The man asks the clay:

"Oh dear! Are you musk or amber? I am in ecstasy due to your beautiful scent that attracts the hearts…"

The clay responds to him as follows:

"I am neither musk nor amber. I am just an ordinary soil. However, I was under a rose sprout and every dawn I was being kneaded by the dews that were dropping from the rosebuds. So,the scent that you are feeling which refreshes the hearts belongs to those roses…"

Rose is the symbol of the Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alaihi wasallam). This world is like a classroom and in this classroom, the most important education is

To get to know the Sultan of the Roses

To have a share from the holy scent of that Rose,

To be a drop of dew in the petal of that Rose.

The most essential material needed in this path is the love for him.

may we always be the dust under the feet of our Sheykh. Dust under the feet of the Prophet

Bismillaahi Rahmaani Raheem

in Islam, we always say, 'may we always be the dust under the feet of our Sheykh. Dust under the feet of the Prophet (asws).' Because that is our reality. We are dust. Dust cannot enter into our house, isn't it? Dust cannot enter into the Paradise. But if the Holy Prophet (asws) has been given permission to even enter into the Divine Presence, to step on the Arsh and enter the Divine presence with his shoes, that means there is a chance for the dust to be with him. That's why we are putting this (Hoja pointed to the Nalain Shareef) on top of our head. This is his shoe. We are under him. So be dust. Don't be nothing else. Understand that you are. Think  how you are and remember them. Than that time, wherever Prophet is, wherever his representative is, then our Sheykh wherever he is, we are dust under his feet we will be with him. That's the time not only forgiveness, Sakinah will enter. What is Sakinah? The pleasure of Allah.

Grant us a kiss Ya Rasoolallah..

A peacock feather's white tip,
the flagrant buds of lustrous jasmine,
the eye of a determined crane, radiant tupaz

the pearl the young lotus bears,
the pearl found in the mountains,
the moon's pearl with unimpaired luster, the pearl grown in the elephant's tusk,
the pearl from sweet sugarcane--

A person can list these pearls from many sources,
but would it really be right to compare them to the pearls of your mouth like lotus petals?

With your lovely mouth,
lustrous and always beautiful,
grant us a pearl of a kiss.
With your lovely mouth that spoke with the strong one,
grant us a kiss. Yaa Rasoolallaahh..

Abul Abbasul Mursi

Shaykh Abul Al-Abbas Al mursi, may Allah have mercy upon him said to his companions, "Is there anyone amongst you who greets the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in his prayer and then hears his reply with his ears?" They replied, "no" Then he said, "weep over your hearts that are veiled from Allah and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ." He then said, "by Allah, if the Messenger of Allah ﷺ were to be veiled from me for a moment of an hour in the day or the night then I would not count myself amongst the fuqara."

poem by shaikh sayyid Muhammad Yaqoubi

O chosen one
O source of secrets
O wellspring of lights
Take this little servant of Allah

I am at your door
If not for you I would perish
Be affectionate to a wayfarer
O best of Allah's creation

A servant at the doors
Remaining at the threshold
Without any means
Loving the beloved of Allah

So leave the universes
And enter into the Merciful's realm
With the master al-Adnan
And be happy with the favor of Allah

Do not be distracted in the path
Do not celebrate otherness
Goodness, all goodness
Is from him, by Allah

Since all who love him
Must meet him
After they see him
Manifestly without any doubt
