Salawât sharif

Whenever we see the full moon, a beautiful child, we recite Salawât. This has become a habit of people of Damascus: they consider Salawât a protection of evil eye, when women have a baby they say to those who visit to recite Salawât, just like saying 'Mâ shâ' Allâh.' Any beauty reminds us of the beauty of Rasûl ﷺ.
This is how Rasûl ﷺ is alive in everyday life. Even when people get angry and are fighting, and someone will just say «Salli 'alâ n-Nabî» and people will stop fighting. He ﷺ is a source of mercy and happiness.
